04.09.11 [Allkpop] Rain Sues Drama Production Company For Unpaid Wages From “Fugitive”

by dsl99a

On April 8th, Rain reportedly filed a lawsuit against drama production company ‘D‘ for unpaid wages from his stint with KBS’s “Fugitive: Plan B“. The star alleges that the company owes him $396,000 USD for his work with the drama.

“My contract with the production company specifically stated that I was to receive $50,000 USD per episode for a total of 16 episodes and get paid the tax-added value later,” said Rain. “But I’ve only been paid my contract fee – $320,000 USD – and a second payment of the same amount. I was not paid the remaining $160,000 USD, as well as payments for the extra four episodes I appeared in, rounding out the total to $396,000 USD.”

Rain continued, “I was asked to appear for the extra episodes without getting paid first, but I didn’t want to disappoint the viewers by rejecting the offer. I agreed to the extra episodes and finished the finale. The very next day, I even received proof of payment from the company, but they did not keep their promise.”

Last December, co-star Lee Na Young also filed a lawsuit against the production company for not getting paid for her appearance in the first episode.

12.21.10 [allkpop]Lee Na Young has yet to receive her wages for “Fugitive”

by jax625

Actress Lee Na Young has filed a lawsuit against the producers of “Fugitive” for unpaid wages.
A representative from Lee Na Young’s agency, KeyEast Entertainment, stated, “Lee Na Young has yet to receive a single penny for her salary since the filming of ‘Fugitive’ began.”

Apparently, all actors and actresses from the “Fugitive” series have failed to receive their full wages; Lee Na Young’s complaint seems to strengthen the likelihood of future lawsuits from the issue.

12.14.10 [Newsen] Lee Na Young on her Fugitive’s action scene and Rain

by jax625

KBS highly anticipated drama Fugitive : Plan B already ended last week.
Started with strong first episode rating (reached more than 20%) , this 20 episodes detective drama experienced a downfall rating, never reached the 20% rating mark for the rest of the episode and ended around 11%.

Although it’s not a result everybody expected, but this drama brought benefit for one of its main star, Lee Na Young.
Through this drama, for the first time in her long acting career, Na Young challenged herself for action performance.

On the Fugitive Plan B Special episode which aired last week , the day after the 20th episode, Lee Na Young confessed that action scene was a difficult part.
She said that the beating action is more difficult than to be beaten action. Both needs to be very careful and cautious.
Although the action scenes resulted some minor injuries of hurting wrist and toes for her, luckily, she more often being hit than hitting.

When reporter asked her about her partner, Rain : ” What type of man is Rain ?” , she said that in the real life, Rain’s just the same character with Ji Woo – Rain’s role in Fugitive – sometimes serious but some other time super funny and Rain always cheers up the mood of the shooting field.

Yes, we believed that, many behind the scene pictures proved it.

12.13.10 [Fanmade] Another Rain shows their love and support…Rain is a true hero.

by moonrogue
To most of his fans, he’s just eye candy (indeed that’s what he is! ) but I also admire Rain because he’s a soldier…He’s faced discrimination, family and friends turning their backs when he needed it the most, folks making up cruel rumors about him…anybody else would’ve flipped the world the bird a long time ago! LOL. Yet he just smiles and forgives, he just pushes back harder, he just keeps forging ahead no matter what obstacle. He has literally came from the rags to riches through mere hard work and never letting the fame change him and that’s why Rain is my HERO!!! GO SUPER-RAIN!!!! MUCH LOVE

12.12.10 [dramabeans] Lee Na-young wraps drama, turns to film

by jax625

Fresh off her latest drama, action-comedy Runaway Plan B, actress Lee Na-young is turning to the big screen for her next role. Though contracts haven’t been signed yet, reports indicate that she will likely be acting next in the movie Howling, starring opposite the ubiquitous Song Kang-ho (Blue Salt, Secret Reunion, Thirst).

A source with Howling’s production stated that the movie is prepping for a 2011 release and that after contacting a handful of actresses, Lee is their top contender for the role. A rep from Lee’s management company confirmed that she had received the script and is considering the project favorably.

In Howling, an animal that is bred to be a wolf-dog hybrid is used to track down killers in murder cases. Lee Na-young’s role is of a newbie cop, who works with veteran cop Song Kang-ho.

(Okay, I get that if you’re going to cast Lee Na-young and Song Kang-ho together, it makes sense that she’s the rookie and he’s the vet. But what is with the glut of movies/dramas relying on this overused dynamic, pairing female newbs with grizzled male vets? Just once, can’t we have the reverse? Just imagine the hilarity of making Song the newbie and Lee the old soul. Or, if that goes against the intended tone too much, pair an older actress with a younger hotshot. How ’bout something for us noonas out there?)
